Chiefs first-round draft pick Xavier Worthy already made a permanent commitment to the franchise
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs  traded up in the 2024 NFL draft to select Texas WR Xavier Worthy with the pick No. 28 in the first round.

The franchise showed a certain level of conviction and commitment that he was their guy, and the rookie seems to be returning the gesture. Worthy posted a video on his TikTok page on Monday, showing that he added some new ink to the sleeve on his right arm.

He already had a tattoo of the NFL logo, but underneath it, he now has a tattoo of the Chiefs' iconic Arrowhead emblem followed by "R: 1 p: 28" to signify his draft slot in the 2024 NFL draft. Check out the fresh ink down below.

He joins the throngs of Chiefs Kingdom who have that same Arrowhead logo tattooed, but his certainly is special given the design featuring his draft slot. Players dream of the moment they get to hear their name called, and not every player gets selected by the back-to-back Super Bowl champions. It's something worth commemorating.

With rookie minicamp on deck, the tattoo should serve as a good reminder for the 21-year-old to come in and work his tail off. That way, he ends up a lifetime Chief and doesn't look silly in a few years if he ends up playing for a new NFL team. The average NFL career lasts just over three years and it's a rarity for players to play their entire career with a single team.
